New Bikes From Breezer In Stock Now
2020 Bike Demand
The nationwide bike shortage took our entire industry by surprise. In early May we discovered that our favorite bikes were becoming short in supply as many of our fellow shops were selling out and restocking faster than a normal year. Every other phone call was someone asking for a simple bike that could be used around town for transportation, but capable of weekend rides on the trails around DC. Normally, we have more than enough supply of this type of bike as it is our specialty. Throughout the Summer months, we had limited or no stock and had to turn away many requests for new bikes. Luckily, we’re seeing some models arriving now, just in time for DC’s best riding weather.
Introducing the Breezer Midtown
Our friends at Breezer are known for their legacy in the mountain bike world and more recently, as producers of practical and comfortable town and transportation bikes.
New for 2021 is the Breezer Midtown. These all-purpose, go-anywhere bikes were designed with the urban environment in mind. The Midtown starts off with a lightweight aluminum frame and adds everything needed for city riding. The large volume 27.5 tires smooth out rough roads, and a wide drivetrain is well suited for crosstown commutes or weekends spent in Rock Creek Park. Reflective decals provide additional safety for night riding. Both models come with disc brakes, with the 1.5 getting hydraulic, and the 1.7 equipped with cable actuated.
Now in Stock and Arriving Soon
The Breezer Midtown 1.7 comes in step over (Dark Red) and step-through (Glacier Blue) versions and is $749. These have just arrived as of September 24th in all sizes.
The Breezer Midtown 1.5 is currently available in step over (Silver) and is $849. These are arriving by the end of September.
