THE DAILY RIDER can trace its beginnings to a blue Schwinn, 15-cent ice creams, the feeling of freedom, and a quest for fashion on two wheels. The shop provides bikes and accessories for everyday riding. We sell useful bikes for transportation from Tern, Gazelle, and many other brands. Our full service shop maintains and repairs any bike. We also offer several custom options for riders wishing to start from a bare frame.
Started in March 2012 by neighborhood residents Beth Rogers and Loren Copsey, the shop serves the retail and repair needs of both residents and visitors alike. We believe that riding a bike is a fun, quick, and safe way to get around Washington, DC. Join us on one of our casual rides, at a maintenance class, or just drop in to talk bikes.

THE DAILY RIDER’S OWNERS, neighborhood residents Beth Rogers and Loren Copsey, are proud to have started the H Street neighborhood’s first bike shop in years.
Beth and Loren were inspired by classic English and Dutch bikes, street style, and the idea that no special equipment should be required for a ride. After visiting shops across the United States and Europe they set out to create a similar store in their neighborhood.
Around town, Beth prefers her Tern HSD S8i, while Loren is often seen on his Soma Wolverine.
