Update to The Daily Rider COVID-19 Procedures

The Daily Rider has modified operations due to COVID-19 concerns. We will reopen fully as soon it is safe for all of our employees and customers. Our hours of operation during this time are:

  • Sunday: 12-4
  • Monday: Closed
  •              Tuesday-Saturday: 10-6

Want to purchase a part, accessory, or bike?

 

Text, email or call with your request and we’ll attempt to fulfill it. Small items will be placed on our table outside, larger items will be left in our lockbox or attached to the public bike racks out on the sidewalk. As of May 22nd, 2020 we will no longer sell any helmets or apparel until it is safe to reopen. 

If you are looking for a bike, please consider the Fairdale Lookfar at $549. There is nearly full stock of them. The Marin Fairfax 1 is out of stock. We will not have one until September.

We are attempting to work in small repairs throughout the week, but those slots fill quickly.

For larger repairs and tune-ups, our next available repair date is displayed in the window directly next to our door. As of this update, our calendar is full for the next three weeks. 

So, some things that we apologize for:

 

At this time we cannot accept cash payments.

Please be patient when communicating with us as the phones are very busy.

We cannot open the door to chat or to take a look at your bike. If you need to talk to us, just call (202) 396-0704.

Already have an appointment and have questions about dropping off?

 

The chain combination locks are on the ground behind you at the municipal bike racks. They are labeled with white numbers. The u-lock on the ground is for our Pelican case, it is not for a bike. The door is locked. We can have a conversation by phone or text.

So, why are we doing this?

 

This was the best way we could think of to limit transmission and to keep providing service to our customers.

We’re doing our part to combat the spread of COVID-19 and appreciate your dedication to supporting local businesses.
